How Sugarwish Started

In 2012, co-founders Elisabeth Vezzani and Leslie Lyon recognized a recurring corporate-gifting problem: too many gifts missed the recipient's tastes. They designed a simpler answer around recipient choice, so the sender selects the category and budget while the person receiving the gift chooses the items they genuinely want.

That idea became Sugarwish. The company began with candy and expanded into 15+ gift categories, giving recipients a curated way to pick their favorites across a much broader range of gifts.

Sugarwish reports delivering more than 2 million gifts and serving more than 50,000 companies, including 70% of the Fortune 500.

Our Mission

Sugarwish's mission is to make gifting joyful, effortless, and personal for both sender and recipient. Its recipient-choice model removes the guesswork by letting the sender define the gift and the recipient make the final selection.

That approach keeps each gift personal without relying on assumptions about tastes or preferences. For a personal moment or a business occasion, the experience stays centered on choice, ease, and the happiness of receiving something the recipient selected.

Women-Owned and Certified

Sugarwish is women-owned and operated. The company states that it holds WBENC (Women's Business Enterprise National Council) and WOSB (Women-Owned Small Business) certifications.

Those certifications give the business verified supplier-diversity credentials for organizations that choose to work with certified women-owned businesses. Sugarwish presents them as part of its identity as a company founded, owned, and operated by women.

Giving Back with Make-A-Wish

Giving back is part of Sugarwish's official story. The company identifies Make-A-Wish America as a partner and reports donating over $4 million to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.

This partnership connects the act of sending a Sugarwish with support for wish-granting work, extending the company's focus on happiness beyond the people who send and receive its gifts.

Headquartered in Colorado

Sugarwish is based in Centennial, Colorado, where its team supports the recipient-choice gifting experience for both personal and business occasions.

From that headquarters, the company carries forward the same choice-first idea that began with candy and now spans 15+ gift categories, helping senders offer a curated gift while recipients select the option that suits them.
